About Us
Dr. Daniel Cohen
Originally from Harrisburg, PA, Dr. Dan Cohen has called Utah home since 2012 when he moved cross-country to pursue a dentistry career at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan. After graduating top of his class, Dr. Cohen spent six months in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program (AEGD) at Roseman, where he focused on endodontics, implant surgery and cosmetics.
During this time, Utah captured his heart, awakened his adventurous spirit, and rewrote his original plan of returning to the East Coast. Now residing in Cottonwood Heights and practicing in Millcreek, Dr. Cohen is passionate about serving the local community and delivering a personalized experience to each of his patients. In recent years he has extended care delivery beyond the walls of his office to underserved communities in Guatemala, where he has partnered with Healing Nations (Draper, UT) to provide for the dental needs of a small, isolated community.
When not at work, you can find Dr. Cohen on his mountain bike, camping in the red rock wonders of Southern Utah, or serving in his local church community. If your dental visit isn’t enough quality time with Dr. Cohen, feel free to invite him on a hike!

Hygienist
Tami has lived in Utah her entire life. She has worked for Funk Dental since she graduated in Dental Hygiene at Salt Lake Community College in May of 2015. She loves getting to know the awesome patients at Funk Dental and hopes to be able to help them achieve the best oral health possible! When not at work, Tami loves spending time with her husband Russ and her three children. They love music, movies and musical theater!
Michelle
Dental Assistant
Michelle has worked for Funk Dental on and off since 2005, as a dental assistant. “I love working with this team. Dr Funk is meticulous and cares for his patients in a way that teaches us all. I love to read, write, hike, and camp. I love summer and enjoy the great outdoors,” says Michelle.
